The restoration of the Tronci Organ and the choir loft of the Basilica of Santo Spirito has returned a fundamental element of the church’s artistic, musical, and liturgical identity to the community, bringing back to life a historic instrument that had remained silent for decades.

At Santo Spirito, the official presentation of Pope Leo XIV’s book: “Free Under Grace”

The Basilica of Santo Spirito hosts the official Florence presentation of the volume Free Under Grace by Robert Francis Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, published by Libreria Editrice Vaticana and promoted in collaboration with it. This event of high spiritual and cultural significance is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in the Chapter Hall of the Convent of Santo Spirito.

Speakers will include Paolo Ruffini, Prefect of the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See; Father Giuseppe Pagano, Prior of the Basilica of Santo Spirito; and Ugo De Vita, author and actor.
